By universal acclaim, Elizabeth Berrien's totally unique wire sculptures place her head and shoulders above the field. While remaining on schedule for the creation of monumental works for the National Parks Service, Elizabeth Berrien was commissioned by BBDO/NY to design wire sculpture ads for BBC/World, to be unveiled in July and considered for the prestigious Clio awards. Berrien is receiving a deluge of serious inquiries from around the world for large, site-specific works in upscale international shopping malls, golf courses, and private collections. The artist will review all inquiries to decide the best use for her limited production of fine wire sculpture in 2007 & 2008. PRICE BULLETIN - MARCH 30, 2007 Elizabeth Berrien has been commissioned to create a set of monumental works for the National Parks Service. The project, which includes a trio of Hawks in Flight and a pair of 9ft x 15 ft bridge arches, will take approximately 4 to 5 months to complete and install. As she prepares to begin the NPS project, Berrien is completing her current workload of private and public commissions, including a life-size Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin for a natural history museum. She is also fulfilling wire sculpture orders for Woodland Grove Gallery of Long Grove, IL and The Highlight Gallery in Mendocino, CA, and is reviewing inquiries from "green" architects regarding wire sculpture for pubic, private and corporate environnments. These commitments indicate that by mid-summer, there may be a shortage of Berrien wire sculpture and an associated rise in prices. Clients who reserve a wire sculpture commission before June may still do so at current prices.
