One-of-a-kind, life-size or miniature wire sculptures by Elizabeth Berrien, one of the world's finest wire sculptors. In her 37 years sculpting in wire, Berrien has created lifelike and personable sculptures of most AKC breeds, plus several engaging "mystery mixes".
Wire sculpture Puli dog.
Puli, 2-dimensional wire drawing commissioned by Puli breeder Barbara Stelz for presentation as a feature in an AKC dog show. Since Pulis are mainly a moving mass of dreadlocks with only the dog's nose visible, this was an exceptionally difficult challenge for Berrien -
"as complicated as a tiger or a zebra, finding the lines for all those subtle flows of fur."

Wire sculpture basset hound.
Flying Like the Wind
Portrait of a galloping basset hound. Commissioned to surprise some lucky soul for Christmas...
coyotes wire sculpture by wire sculptor Elizabeth Berrien

Coyote Pair at Hayward City Hall, during the artist's traveling exhibit. Owned by the president of California Native Plant Society, who installed them as landscape sculptures on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Wire sculpture Bernese Mountain Dog.

Bernese Mountain Dog Commissioned portrait of "Bruno". Elizabeth started from photos. For the final sitting, Bruno came to the studio so the artist could run her hands over his head to discern fine details. She even made wire "fuzzles" hanging down over Bruno's ears.
