Here's a sampling of a diverse collection of wire sculptors... selected as a showcase to demonstrate the many ways in which individual wire sculptors address different materials, techniques and personal styles.

I first compiled these listings in 2006, when (believe it or not) wire sculpture was still a rarefied art medium, and it was a challenge to find and present even 100 distinctive wire sculptors.

Now that wire sculpture is so well established, with myriad art schools and colleges offering wire sculpture courses, there are hundreds and thousands of wire sculptors walking the planet... and more every day.

It's wonderful that "wire sculpture" is soon due to take its place in mainstream dictionaries, as valid as "watercolor" or "oil painting". I'm gratified that this Wire Sculpture Directory has done its part in spreading the word.

My life is full, and most of my available time is spent exploring further, ever stretching the limits of wire sculpture... it's been a long, long time since I've had leisure to update these listings. The need exists - some wire artists' links, alas, no longer connect, so I'll regretfully withdraw them. As I have time, I will introduce additional links to wire sculptors who contribute fresh approaches to the medium...
